The Bespoke Difference
If you are a high-level surrogate candidate and would be interested in working with Bespoke intended parents, you can submit an application with us. You can set your own base compensation (within reason), tell us about the types of intended parents you prefer to work with — everything that would make up your perfect surrogacy journey.
Once approved to match through Bespoke, we will match you up with one of our fully vetted agency partners. We will make sure the agency's practices and values align with what you're looking for in a surrogacy agency.
Your dedicated Bespoke partner will also be working with you and your intended parents, alongside the agency, every step of the way — for added support and security. You will maintain full control over who you decide to match with, and which agency you decide to partner with.
Complete our straightforward online application form. We'll ask about your background, pregnancy history, health, and your motivation for becoming a surrogate. There's no obligation at this stage.
If your application meets our initial criteria, one of our dedicated coordinators will reach out to schedule a friendly phone or video call. This is a two-way conversation — we want you to feel just as confident about us as we are about you.
Once cleared, we carefully match you with intended parents based on shared values, expectations, and compatibility. You'll have the opportunity to review a profile and decide if it feels like the right fit before anything is confirmed.
Approved candidates undergo a thorough medical screening and psychological evaluation. This protects both you and the intended parents, and ensures the best possible outcome for everyone involved.
Before any medical procedures begin, a legal contract is established between you and the intended parents. You will have your own independent legal representation — all fees are paid by the intended parents.
With contracts in place, you'll begin the medical process with the fertility clinic. Throughout the pregnancy, BSM remains by your side — coordinating care, facilitating communication, and supporting you every step of the way.
Due to the nature of our clients and the types of clinics they are working with, you will find our requirements are stricter than typical agency requirements.

For surrogate candidates with EXCEPTIONAL medical history in the following states: CA, CO, CT, DE, IL, MD, ME, NV, NH, OH, PA, RI, WA - base compensation starts at $85,000 for first-time candidates, with a competitive compensation package and milestone bonuses totaling a further $15,000+. Additionally, you will be entitled to any surrogacy-related lost wages for yourself and your partner where applicable, health insurance if needed, life insurance, insurance for loss of reproductive organs or permanent total disablement, mental health counseling sessions, travel expenses for surrogacy-related appointments, reimbursements for any out-of-pocket expense, a wellness allowance, and milestone gifts/treats from our team! Surrogate candidates from other states not listed above will receive base compensation starting at $75,000, but will receive the same compensation package with bonuses totaling $15,000+ as well as the other items listed — this is due to demand from intended parents and hesitation surrounding state surrogacy laws, abortion laws and other factors. Experienced surrogates can expect to receive higher compensation which will depend on number of prior journeys completed, embryo transfer success history & medical record quality.
Prior surrogacy experience is not required, but you must have previously given birth to and be raising at least one child of your own.
Yes. You will always have the right to review an intended parent profile and decline a match if it doesn't feel right. We never pressure surrogates to accept a match.
Your BSM coordinator is available throughout the entire journey. Alongside your agency, we facilitate communication with the intended parents, help coordinate medical appointments, and are always just a phone call away.
